Have you prepared for daycare yet? At the very least, you need to prepare this…

Hello Hoggy, this is Hoggy(@hoggyblog1)!

If you have a child and decide to work in Japan, your child will be enrolled in nursery school.
There are detailed rules for nursery school in Japan!

Nursery school is "Hoikusyo" in Japanese.

I would like to introduce what you need to prepare by April in an easy-to-understand way.

The rules of nursery school differ depending on where you live.

What are you explaining?" We will introduce them in an easy-to-understand manner with illustrations so that you don't have to ask yourself, "What are you explaining?

What is a typical day in the life of a daycare center?

0-, 1-, and 2-year-olds are "Nyuuji"

ニュウジ、にゅうじ、幼児

3-, 4-, and 5-year-olds are called "Youji".

ヨウジ、ようじ、幼児

Nursery school teachers call them as such.

Here is a typical day in the life of an nursery school!

Daily Flow

  1. Arrival at nursery school
  2. Measure fever (If the fever is 37 degrees 5 or higher, you must return home with your child. (Note that you cannot spend time at the daycare center)
  3. Eat small amounts of snacks
  4. Play outside or in your room
  5. Lunch time
  6. Change clothes
  7. Take a nap
  8. Eat small amounts of snacks
  9. Play in room until father or mother picks up

This is an example of nursery life in an infant class(Nyuuji class).

Please consider this only as a reference. If you have any questions, please ask your childcare provider.

Please note that this may vary depending on the nursery school.

Once you start working, the majority of your child's day will be spent at the here.

It is natural to feel anxious.

We have compiled a list of frequently asked questions here (^^).

CHECK

  • What does the nursery need?
  • What types of snacks do you eat?
  • Is baby food homemade?
  • What kind of lunch (school lunch) menu is served?
  • Are there homemade snacks and lunches?
  • Are allergies catered for?
  • What kind of bedding is needed for nap time?
  • What kind of bedding do you require?
  • What time do you start pick-up and drop-off, and by what time should I pick up my child?
  • Can I leave my stroller at the day-care center?
  • Can I leave my stroller at the day-care center?
  • Can I ride my bicycle to and from the day-care center?

I see!

I'm sure there are those of you who think so.

I recommend that you be sure to write down your questions.

When you spend most of your day with your baby, you may find that the number of people you had conversations with that day was zero, except family members.

This is a common occurrence for moms raising children.

Now this experience is a funny story,

At that time, when I tried to have a conversation with someone after a long time, I had an experience that words did not come out as I wanted them to (^^).
It is not a disease, and you should never worry about it.

That's how hard we are working to raise our children.

Find out from your ward office or daycare center (preschool) when you can visit the nursery school.

Prepare your questions before the visit or information session so you don't have to rush.

Do you provide allergy friendly meals?

Eliminating food allergies is very important and crucial for children with allergies.

Be sure to talk to the daycare center of your choice about the allergies your child has.

Then, write down the allergies in a notebook and give it to the daycare provider.
They will be able to take the appropriate action.

Typical allergic foods are,

MILK

EGG

PEANUT

KIWI

WHEAT FLOUR

SOBA NOODLE

If you are requesting allergy accommodations from a daycare center, you will need a written allergy diagnosis.

I think it is necessary to submit the medical certificate at least one month prior to the start of allergy support.

Each daycare center will make a different decision.
If you are concerned, I hope you will not think alone but go to the information session with your family.
